..........my silence at not happenings..........

dear steven,
as beautiful as this is
and as much as we both love the desert
i am so glad
{and by that I mean quite thrilled}
that choosing to be in such a dry and vast situation
for an undetermined amount of time
is not in the stars for us now
and, adding some exceptions to all our standards on truth, and honesty
i am rather giddy that you are here, home safe
even though you are playing video games on the other side of the room
even though we hopefully never get too used to these dreary and wierdo cities
even though we are both not doing....exactly what we want to be doing yet in life,

i am strangely content
& feel blessed
that God has not given us that choice {& remember it is always a (hopefully clear) choice
when it comes to how we spend our life}

i am lucky to have you: the boy that from the first moment you spoke to me, you became the largest and most sparkling idea of grandeur and light, you became the definition of what being "in love" is. You still have a spark that no one else has ever slightly tapped in to. i so love you.

instead, God has given us other choices. Like how hard to love, and when. {always. and very much} & I am grateful for this.

Amidst everything, I think we are choosing

Now, come over here and kiss me.

Isn't love fantastic? It's one of those things that you can only understand when you're experiencing it. All the goofy, smoochy, giddy happiness of it. Very nice poem :).

Haha. So funny that you were writing this while he was in the room. How sweet.

Aww, this is so beautiful. I always say this in my comments, but I am so glad that you two found each other. I hope I will find my person too one day.
